Well he was Sir Aaron in the movie, but in the video games the character is called Riley
I just found out that this guy haves a Lucario and the guy looked awfully familiar. So I did some research on the internet and found out he's the ancestor of Sir Aaron, or descendant idk depends on what time like it is. But I can tell, because their faces are the same if you look at them closely
I thought he also had som semblance to Crasher wake with his chest out and sideburns in the same spots as wakes mask
I believe Gaeric is also an ancestor of Wulfric
The clothier lady, Anthem, is an ancestor of Darach of the platinum battle frontier, the general store owner, Choy, is an ancestor of Charon, a team galactic scientist from platinum, and Ginter, the Ginko guild salesman, is related to Volkner, the 8th gym leader of sinnoh
I would also argue that Arezu is related to Roark and therefore Byron too, along with a strong connection between May/Serena and Irida, along with Volo being not only related to Cynthia but Barry and Palmer (given his extreme will in being "the very best"). I'm sure more similarities will pop up, if so and there is a forum where this is discussed I would love to help speculate/legitimize any theories.
