I usually use the grit items but that would be a good way
I have another strategy that I use that I find to be quite good. When you release pokemon into the wild you get the grit dust and rocks and whatnot (I think depending on the level of the pokemon you released) and considering you release stuff often to make space in your storage, you'll be getting a lot of these items. They sell for a good amount, so you release a bunch of pokemon then sell the grit items, it gets a decent amount of money (i get about 100k per run of this strat)
