Oreburgh Gate Objectives (First Time)

Oreburgh Gate Rock Smash Pokemon BDSP

Steps to proceed through Oreburgh Gate
1 Upon entering the Oreburgh Gate, a man will approach you and give you Rock Smash (TM98). Travel east to reach the exit.
You cannot use Rock Smash until you acquire the first badge.
2 You will encounter two trainers along the way. Defeat them to pass through the area.
3 Exit the cave to reach Oreburgh City.

After Getting Oreburgh City Badge

Steps to proceed through Oreburgh Gate's basement
1 After beating Roark, head back to Oreburgh Gate and take the path leading to the north of the area.
2 Break the rugged rock with Rock Smash and head to the right to go down.
3 Descend to the basement and head to the right. Break the rocks and jump down the first ledge to get Flash (TM70).
4 Head back to where you came from and go to the east. You can take either the top path or the way near the body of water.
5 Go past the cyclist and the big boulder to get Stardust.

After Getting Bicycle

Steps to proceed through Oreburgh Gate's basement
1 After getting a Bicycle in Eterna City, return to Oreburgh Gate.
2 Head back down to the basement by following the path north of the cave.
3 Break the three rugged rocks that are lined up with Rock Smash.
4 Ride your bike and switch to the fourth gear. This will allow you to jump further on the bike ramp.
Tip: Use the straight path that you cleared to build up speed.
5 Jump past two bike ramps to reach the end of the path. Get Brick Break (TM31) on the ground.

After Getting Canalave City Badge

Steps to proceed through Oreburgh Gate basement's deeper parts
1 After beating Byron, head back to Oreburgh Gate and travel down to the basement.
2 Approach the body of water and use Surf.
3 Head to the left until you reach land.
4 Descend the stairs and use Strength to move the boulder blocking your way. Obtain the Earth Plate from the ground.
5 Move north to encounter a mini puzzle. Do not push the boulder upwards. Instead, break the rock on the right with Rock Smash and roll the boulder to the left. Get the item containing Focus Punch (TM01).
