Mega Evolutions are not present in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Mega Evolutions have been a recurring feature in the mainline Pokemon games since its debut in Generation VI's Pokemon X and Y, but were not yet available in the original Diamond and Pearl games.

It was speculated that it could be added to the Diamond and Pearl Remakes due to Champion Cynthia's ace Pokemon being a Garchomp, which has a Mega Evolution form.

During battle, triggering a Pokemon's Mega Evolution will temporarily buff their base stats and change their Ability. Mega Evolutions can occur once in each battle, and stay in effect until the Pokemon faints.

Only 48 Pokemon can Mega Evolve. It requires a Mega Stone to be held by the Pokemon and the trainer must have a Key Stone that is obtained by venturing through the story.

No mega evolution. Pokemon come on man, make those beasts come back and introduce new ones too.
