Best Team: Best Pokemon to Use for the Story
While Poison is strong against both Grass and Fairy, there are very few Fairy Pokemon used by trainers, and Grass has other weaknesses that can be exploited, so overall, having a Poison type Pokemon in your party is not super important for clearing the main story.
That said, if you do not have Torterra, Roserade is a good addition to your team as a Grass type anyway, so the added bonus of Poison moves doesn't hurt. However, generally speaking, you do not need to go out of your wayvto add a Poison type to your team.
