Get Surf From Cynthia's Grandmother
After driving away Team Galactic, head inside the ruins and examine the ancient carvings on the wall. Cynthia's grandmother will then give you TM95 Surf.
This will help you travel across the seas of the Sinnoh Region. Do note that you'll need to defeat Fantina at the Hearthome City Gym first before you can use the move in the overworld.
Get Battle Items
You can get battle items from the man inside the Celestic Town shop. The item differs depending on the time of the day.

Celestic Town Objectives
| Steps to proceed through Celestic Town | |

| 1 | Head to the center of the town. |
| 2 | Talk to the Galactic Grunt in front of the cave's entrance. This will trigger a battle. |
| 3 | Cynthia's Grandma will approach you. Deliver the Old Charm. |
| 4 | Enter the ruins and examine the ancient cave paintings on the wall. Cynthia's Grandma will give you Surf (HM03) after. |
| 5 | Travel back to Hearthome City, and defeat its Gym Leader - Fantina. After defeating the Gym Leader, the next stop is Canalave City. Pass through Route 218 to reach the city. |

Equip Battle Items to Your Pokemon
Choice Specs
Choice Specs is a good item to give your special attacker as it boosts the user's Special Attack stat.
Black Glasses
Black Glasses is an item similar to Choice Specs, but it boosts the power of Dark-type moves regardless of whether or not its physical or special.
Wise Glasses
Wise Glasses increases the damage of special moves. The difference between this and the Choice Specs is that the latter buffs the special attack stat while Wise Glasses buffs the special attack move instead.
Get an Analog Watch
You can get an analog watch at the house to the east of the Pokemon Center. Simply talk to the Black Belt Trainer to get the app.
