How to Get to Route 224

On your first visit in Victory Road, the path to Route 224 will be blocked by an NPC. This guy will leave after obtaining the National Pokedex from Professor Oak.

Steps to Reach Route 224
1	From the Pokemon League, head down the waterfall and go back inside Victory Road.
2	Go south and cross the bridge and use Rock Climb to descend the hill.
3	Head to where the Elder is standing, go up the stairs and follow the path.
4	If you have the National Dex, the NPC blocking the path will be gone. Head inside and follow the stairs leading below.
5	Use Defog. You will then meet up with Marley and will pair up with you until you reach the exit of the room. You will encounter several trainers in the area and will challenge you in Double battles with Marley.
4	Upon reaching the end, follow the stairs and exit Victory Road.

Get Destiny Knot to Help Breed High IV Pokemon

You can find a Destiny Knot in Route 224 near a Dragon Tamer trainer. This item is very useful when you're trying to breed a high IV Pokemon so don't forget to grab it!

Route 224 Objectives

Steps to proceed through Route 224
1	Travel north, and at the end of the wild area, go east.
2	Keep heading east until you reach the end of the beach area. Then, go north and you'll enventually reach the top of the hill.

Show Oak's Letter to Professor Oak to Catch Shaymin

If you have obtained the Oak's Letter Key Item from the Mystery Gift menu, you will be able to encounter Shaymin in Flower Paradise.

Talk to Professor Oak with the item in your Bag and Shaymin will appear. Follow it across Seabreak Path and interact with it once you reach Flower Paradise to start the encounter. Shaymin will be Level 30 so save the game before battling it and choose low-levelled Pokemon to avoid knocking it out.

How to Get the Oak's Letter Mystery Gift

Obtain Gracidea in Floaroma

You can obtain Gracidea to change Shaymin's forms after catching it in Flower Paradise. Fly to Floaroma Town, add Shaymin to your party, and speak to the lady northwest of the Pokemon Center to receive the item.
