Aaron is the first Elite Four member that you'll encounter inside the Pokemon League. Aaron will put out Bug-type Pokemon and use a Full Restore once his Pokemon is low on health. As much as possible, defeat his Pokemon in one hit. Use a Flying-type or a Fire-type move with a high power to take them all out.

Bertha is your next opponent, which specializes in Ground-type. Ground-type Pokemon are strong against Fire-type. If you have Fire-type Pokemon, don't use it in battle; the Earthquake move will hit any Fire-type Pokemon pretty hard. Use Grass-type moves to defeat her Pokemon; they are weak against it.

Flint ususally switches to Infernape after. ✓ Chip at Infernape's health before taking it out so the Focus Sash does not activate. |
Flint is the third Elite Four member that you'll encounter. He specializes in Fire-types, but he only has two Pokemon that are Fire-type; Rapidash and Infernape. Both are weak against Water-type and Ground-type.

However, for Bronzong, it is best to use Fire-type moves. But if you don't have one, a Fighting-type is good enough to beat it.

Key Strategies for Champion Cynthia |
---|
✓ Defeat Spiritomb with a High Power Attack or Fairy Type Move. ✓ Heal your Pokemon during Gastrodon and Roserade. ✓ Use a Physical move on Milotic before finishing it off with Special moves. ✓ Quickly defeat Lucario with super effective moves. ✓ Lower Garchomp's Attack stat with Intimidate. ➤ Let Gyarados learn the move Ice Fang. |
Cynthia is the Pokemon League Champion and the last trainer to challenge. Unlike the previous members, she doesn't stick to one type of Pokemon. The first Pokemon she'll send is Spiritomb. Spiritomb only has one weakness being Fairy-types, it would be wise to send one out to deal with it.
To beat the rest of her Pokemon, think about their weakness. Roserade is a Grass and Poison-type. Using your strongest Fire-type Pokemon against it will do. For Lucario, you can take it down with a Ground-type like an Earthquake move. Then, an Ice-type or Dragon-type for Garchomp. Grass-type Pokemon can beat both Milotic and Gastrodon. But it would be best to use an Electric-type for Milotic like Thunder Punch.
