Access Pokemon Boxes on the road by pressing the R button from the Pokemon menu. Read on to learn how to use the Pokemon Box Link and when can you access Pokemon Boxes in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP).

How to Access Pokemon Boxes on the Road

Open Boxes from Pokemon Menu

Boxes

Press X to open the Menu, then select the Pokemon party menu. While looking at your Pokemon party, press the R button to open up your Boxes.

There, you can move Pokemon between your party and the boxes and look at the stats and summaries of all the Pokemon stored in your boxes.

Meet Bebe in Jubilife City

Bebe

You will get access to Pokemon Boxes on the road once you meet Bebe during your second visit to Jubilife City. She will come up to you after beating the two Team Galactic Grunts with Professor Rowan's assistant.

When Can You Access Pokemon Boxes?

After Catching New Pokemon

Pokemon BDSP Catching Wild

If you have a party of 6 Pokemon then catch a new wild Pokemon, you're given the option to either add it to your party or send it to a Box. This is different from previous games, where newly caught Pokemon are automatically sent to your box if you already have a party of 6.

Not Inside a Gym

Pokemon BDSP Sunyshore City Gym

Pokemon Boxes cannot be accessed inside any Pokemon Gym, so select your party carefully before entering a Gym. Otherwise, you'd have to go through the Gym's maze all over again just to change your party Pokemon.
