You currently are unable to trade between Pokemon Sword & Shield and Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. It's to be determined if we'll be able to transfer Pokemon from the Galar region when Pokemon HOME support arrives for the Sinnoh remakes in 2022.

You are also unable to engage in online battles between Sword & Shield and Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl. Additionally, the Sinnoh remakes do not house the competitve scene of Ranked Battles, which still remains in Pokemon Sword and Shield.

Available Gift That Comes With Sword or Shield Save Data

Pokemon BDSP Jirachi Sword and Shield

Players with save data for either Pokemon Sword or Pokemon Shield can receive a free Jirachi Gift in-game in Floaroma Town. To receive Jirachi, simply speak to the gentleman in the flower field located on the southwest end of Floaroma Town, and you'll receive Jirachi right away.

Approximately 3 hours of playtime required

As Floaroma Town is reachable after the 1st badge, with an estimated 3 hours of gameplay, it's a good idea to pick up Jirachi right away, as it will be far and away the most powerful Pokemon in your team at this point in the game.

If you have save data for Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, you can also receive a Mew from the madame standing next to the gentleman.
