The Fashion Case and all Accessories have been removed in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP). Read on to learn more about the features that replaced Accessories and the dress up minigame.
List of Contents
The Fashion Case Key Item, which stores all Accessories used in dressing-up Pokemon for Super Contests is not present in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. There is no way to obtain this item in the game, as well as all Accessories used in dressing up your Pokemon.
All minigames and mechanics that involved the Fashion Case and Accessories have been replaced with Ball Capsules and Stickers.
Since the Fashion Case and all Accessories are not in the remake, the dress up minigame has also been removed. The Visual Competition in Super Contests has been reworked into the Visual Evaluation rating, and the dress up room in the Jubilife TV building in Jubilife City has also been replaced by a room where you can preview the Stickers Gym Leaders use.
In Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, the Fashion Case is obtained after saving Professor Rowan and his assistant from Team Galactic grunts on your second visit in Jubilife City.
In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Bebe will show up instead and give you access to Ball Capsules along with Pokemon Box Link.
How to Access Pokemon Boxes on the Road
NPCs which gave Accessories back in the original games now give you Stickers instead.
The Visual Competition of Super Contests has been replaced by a new rating system in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Visual Evaluation now judges your Pokemon based on its conditions and the Stickers used in its Ball Capsule.

Accessories are placed on Pokemon during the Visual Competition of Super Contest Shows. The competing Pokemon will be scored on appeal/how well the accessories match the theme that is given before the dress-up period. Appeal is measured by the number of hearts (♥) you receive from the audience.
You only have 60 seconds to dress up the Pokemon with Accessories. Accessories are divided into pages based on what type of objects they are, so make sure to scroll through your pages using the Up and Down buttons. At Normal Rank, the maximum number of Accessories you can place is 5. It increases by 5 with every higher rank, capping at 20 for the highest rank (Master).
Below are the ways you can repeatedly acquire Accessories:
Backdrops don't make a significant impact on the score you get, so don't spend too much time choosing a backdrop. If you have time, you can choose a backdrop for your Pokemon by selecting the Pokeball icon at the bottom right of the screen.
When first getting the Fashion Case, you receive 2 backdrops (a Pokeball backdrop + 1 random backdrop). The rest can be unlocked at the Lottery Daily Event in the TV station at Jubilife City.
In Jubilife City, after beating the 2 Galactic Grunts in a Double Battle with the Professor's Assistant (Lucas/Dawn), an employee of Jubilife TV will approach you and give you the Fashion Case. He also invites you to unlock more backdrops by participating at the Lottery Daily Event on the 1st floor of their TV station.
Using the Fashion Case from the Key Items pocket in your bag will just reveal how many Accessories and Backdrops you have.
