Wayward Cave Main Entrance |
Wayward Cave Secret Entrance |
The secret entrance to Wayward Cave is hidden beneath the Cycling Road, as seen above. To find the secret entrance, stand against the upper border of the bridge just to the left of it. Then, walk two tiles to the right and up to enter the cave.
Upon entering the secret cave, you will be blocked from the rest of the secret cave by boulders, which can only be moved with the Strength Hidden Move. Gain use of Strength by getting the 6th Badge and obtaining the HM at the Lost Tower.
The secret section of Wayward Cave is where you can encounter wild Gible and obtain Earthquake (TM26).
Using Flash to illuminate the main area of the cave is recommended in order to get a better sense of its layout, otherwise you'll be limited to seeing just your character. Flash (TM70) can be obtained at Oreburgh Gate or bought at the Department Store in Veilstone City.

Steps to proceed through Wayward Cave | |
---|---|
1 | It is dark inside the Wayward Cave, so you'll be needing Flash (TM70). Buy Flash before proceeding to this area. You can buy Flash (TM70) from Veilstone City Department Store 3F (Top Cashier). |
2 | Once you have Flash, travel northeast and you'll meet Mira. Mira will be helpful in your adventure as she will heal your Pokemon after every battle. However, you won't receive any reward for escorting her out of the cave. |

Although players can do a good deed by escorting Mira out of the 1F area of the cave, you won't get any reward for doing so, so there's no real reason to do the mission.
Players are best off skipping the first floor section of Wayward Cave completely. If you need it, go in, grab the Double Team TM, and get out.

If you help mira you unlock another person for a certain mode in the battle tower. Forgot what it's called, but she won't be there if you don't help. Neither would riley, buck, or marley.
