Who is Lucas?

Protagonist or Professor's Assistant

Lucas is one of the playable characters, along with Dawn, in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

If you choose to play as Dawn, Lucas will become Professor Rowan's assistant and will teach you how to catch Pokemon early in the game. You will also encounter him many times throughout the story.

Lucas Chooses Remaining Starter

Lucas' partner Pokemon will be the starter that is weak against yours (i.e. he will have Piplup if you chose Turtwig as your starter). Lucas also has Clefairy and Kadabra to his party.
