Secret Entrance to Wayward Cave Located Under Cycling Road

The secret entrance to Wayward Cave is hidden beneath the Cycling Road, as seen above. Upon entering the secret cave, you will be blocked from the rest of the secret cave by boulders, which can only be moved with the Strength Hidden Move. Gain use of Strength by getting the 6th Badge and obtaining the HM at the Lost Tower.

The secret section of Wayward Cave is where you can encounter a wild Gible and obtain Earthquake (TM26).

Steps to proceed through Route 206
1 Go South, and enter the building at the end.
You will encounter several trainers along the way. Buy Potions from the Eterna City Poke Mart before passing through this area.

3 Exit the building, and walk forward to reach Route 207.
You'll find Razz Berries on the west side of the building, and other obtainable items are in the wild area under the bridge. Travel to the east side of the building and use Cut (HM01) on the small tree to pass through. You can also find the entrance to Wayward Cave at the end of the wild area.

Route 206 Tips & Strategies

Use Cut to Access the Lower Route

Route 206 Entrance.png

There are two trees located on the lower right part of the map that you can cut to access the lower part of the route with the tall grass where you can catch Pokemon native to this area.

The tall grass area is where you'll also find most of the items, as well as the path that leads to Hiker Theodore.

Enter Wayward Cave

Visible Hidden
Route 206 Cave.png

There are two entrances to Wayward Cave when you are in Route 206. If you have Strength, head inside the cave through the hidden entrance to catch a Gible.

Cycling Road is a Downhill Slope

The cycling road is a downhill path to the south. Therefore, you can ride your bike downhill without having to control it.

Catch a Ponyta

If you didn't pick Chimchar at the start of the game, now's a good time to catch a Ponyta for your team's Fire-type Pokemon.

Ponyta takes a while to evolve into Rapidash at Lvl. 40, but is a valuable addition to your team as it will make battling Candice later at Snowpoint City easier!
