Is Fairy Type in the Game?

Pokemon BDSP Fairy Type Confirmed

The Fairy Type are in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Their inclusion in the remakes was originally confirmed by the Fairy-type moves Charm and Disarming Voice appearing in trailers.

The only Fairy Type Pokemon to appear in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are the Pokemon that appeared in Generations 1 through 4, who were only later on converted to the Fairy Type, when it was introduced in Generation 6.

Pokemon BDSP Disarming Voice

In the September 28 trailer, Cheryl's Chansey is seen attacking with the Fairy Type move Disarming Voice. In the original Diamond and Pearl games, Cheryl's Chansey did not have that move, as the Fairy Type had not been introduced yet.

Charm

Pokemon BDSP Fairy Type

During the August 18 Pokemon Presents, Buneary's Contest Move Charm is explicitly listed as a Fairy Type. In the original Diamond and Pearl games, Buneary could learn Charm at Level 43, but it was previously a Normal Type move.
