An update to Ver. 1.2.0 of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP) has been made available on February 22, 2022. Read on for a list of patch notes and bug fixes for update 1.2.0.

Ver 1.2.0 Update Summary
  • Union Room Functions have been expanded, increasing the maximum number of players to eight.
  • The Colosseum battle feature has been added, with support for custom rulesets.
  • Pokémon acquired via the duplication glitch now cannot be used in Link Battles or Link Trades.
  • Global and Group Records can now be viewed in the Jubilife TV building.
  • Fixed some issues for more pleasant gameplay.

Union Room Capacity Increased to Eight

Union Room

Union Rooms can now host eight players at once! You can now gather more friends to battle or trade with.

Colosseum is Now Available

Colosseum Custom Rulesets

You can now access the Colosseum at the top floor of any Pokemon Center.

You can also use custom rulesets for battles at the Colosseum. Change the number of Pokemon that players can send in the battle, adjust level restrictions, and play either Single, Double, or Multi Battles locally or online.

View Global or Group Records

Records Jubilife TV

The update now also lets you view Global or Group Records at the third floor of Jubilife TV in Jubilife City.

Enter the room at the left of the Beauty NPC to view Global Records, and enter the room at the right to view Group Records if you are in one.
