Join and create groups by talking to the NPC in front of Jubilife TV! Read on to learn about record mixing and comparing records and stats with other players in your group in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP).

How to Create Groups

Pokemon BDSP Create Group

In order to make a group, talk to the NPC north of the fountain in front of Jubilife TV. He will prompt you to make a group and give it a name. After naming the group, you will have succesfully created a group!

Talking to the NPC again will allow you to disband the group and create a new one with a different name.

How to Join Groups

Mix Records with Players

Pokemon BDSP Union Room

You will be allowed to join the groups of players once you interact and select the Mix Records option with them in the Local Room of the Union Room. If the person accepts the invitation to mix records, they will participate with you in record mixing. Record mixing allows up to 5 participants.

Access the Union Room from anywhere in Sinnoh!

Pokemon BDSP Local Union Room

You can first access the Union Room by going upstairs in a Pokemon Center and interacting with the nurse in the middle. After getting the 1st badge in Oreburgh City, you can start visiting the basement of the Pokemon Center. After first visiting the basement, you unlock the ability to access the Union Room from anywhere in the Sinnoh region (except inside buildings and caves) by pressing Y.

After mixing records with a player, simply talk to the NPC north of the fountain in front of Jubilife TV. You will be prompted to join the group of the players you have mixed records with.

What are Groups For?

Compare Records in Jubilife TV

Pokemon BDSP Compare Records

On the 3rd floor of Jubilife TV, enter the room nearest the stairs to check out Group Rankings. Here, you can compare records with others in your group whom you have mixed records with. You can compare stats such as amount of Pokemon defeated, Pokemon caught, Pokemon Eggs, and Pokemon encountered while fishing.

Pictures of up to 10 of your groupmate's Pokemon will also be displayed in Jubilife TV.

Sync Up Events via Record Mixing

You will sync up certain in-game events with players you've mixed records with. The events listed below will be synced/the same for those who have mixed records together:

Show Other Players Your Trainer Card

Trainer Card.png

As of Ver 1.2.0, Trainers can now view your Trainer Card in the Union Room. You and other Trainers can view each other's Battle Tower Records as well.
