This guide shows the objectives list for obtaining the 4th Badge in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP). Read on to know how to proceed through each area, learn which Pokemon the Gym Leader has, as well as other helpful walkthrough information.

Make sure to obtain the TM and access to use the move Defog inside the Great Marsh. You can easily miss this as you are not really required to visit the Safari Zone during the story, and you might have difficulty in navigating foggy routes later on with no chance of clearing it as you do not have the move.

The next gym battle will be against the Water-type Gym Leader Crasher WakeHow to Beat Crasher Wake: Pastoria City Gym Guide. We recommend using either Electric or Grass-type Pokemon during this fight, and one of the best Grass-types in the game is Roserade.
If you do not yet have a Grass-type Pokemon in your team, RoseliaHow to Evolve Roselia: Location and Learnset can be found in the nearby Route 212. After catching it, you can evolve it with a Shiny Stone if you have one or fight Wake with Roselia and wait until later in the game to evolve it.

1 | Exit the gym, and follow Dawn/Lucas to the Galactic Warehouse. Team Galactic will challenge you, make sure to heal your Pokemon before proceeding to this step. |

2 | Go inside the Galactic Warehouse, and get the Fly TM near the blue crate. After picking up the Fly TM, you also get the Fly Hidden Move in your Poketch. |
3 | Travel to Route 212. To get to Route 212, you can use Fly to travel back to Hearthome City. You'll encounter a muddy area; bicycles cannot be ridden here. Don't worry if you get stuck in the mud; try to move in any direction, and you'll be free. |
Inside the 1st Floor of the Veilstone City Department Store, you'll find a lady near the cashier. Talk to her to receive some Bubble Stickers B.

In Route 212, you can find the TM for Sunny Day blocked by a tree. Use Cut to destroy the tree and gain access to the TM.
You can find the TM for Swagger on the corner of Mr. Backlot's office, the owner of the Pokemon Mansion located in Route 212.
Beside the lake in Route 212, you can find the house of the Shard Trader. She will trade you a TM for 10 shards of the same color.
Near the muddy area of the route, you can the TM for Toxic. You will need to cross the muddy area to get to the TM.
3 | Visit Pastoria Great Marsh. Talk to the receptionist, and pay the fee to play the Safari Game. Upon entering the Safari Zone, you'll find a woman to the east. Talk to her to receive Defog TMs. Defog will also be added to the Hidden Moves in your Poketch. |

1 | Go southwest and step on the yellow button. The water will subside. |
2 | Go down the stairs, and travel north. Step on the green button near Gym Leader Wake. |
3 | Go southwest, and follow the open path. Step on the blue button near the trainer wearing a sailor costume. |
4 | Travel south, and go northeast. Step on the green button near the trainer wearing a red hat. |
5 | Go down the stairs on the right, and travel south. Step on the yellow button at the end of the path. |
6 | Go north, and travel west. |
7 | Climb on the stairs on the left. Then, step on the blue button. The water will rise. |
8 | Pass through the small bridge on the east. Then, walk north to reach Gym Leader Crasher Wake's location. |
The Move Reminder can teach your Pokemon moves that it had previously forgotten. To teach your Pokemon a move with the Move Reminder, you will first need to give him a Heart Scale.
The woman with the umbrella near the Safari Zone will give you 3 Fire Stickers A when you talk to her.
In a house near the center of Pastoria City, there is a Bug Catcher who wants to see all three forms of Burmy. Show him each Burmy cloak and he'll reward you with a Macho Brace.
If you enter the house northeast of Pastoria City, you will come across the Scarf Guy. Show him Pokemon with high conditions and he will present you colored Scarfs that raises the conditions of a Pokemon holding the item when competing in Super Contests. These items are useful when aiming for the Master Rank of the respective Contest categories in Super Contests!
