Pokemon BDSP Battle Frontier

The Sinnoh Battle Frontier is a Pokemon Platinum exclusive that does not return in the Diamond and Pearl Remakes. Read on to learn what is the Battle Frontier and why the Battle Frontier won't be returning in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP).

Will the Battle Frontier Return?

Only the Battle Park Returns

Pokemon BDSP Battle Park

The Battle Frontier does not return in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, after first appearing in Pokemon Platinum. Instead, the Battle Park from the original Diamond and Pearl games returns. In Platinum, it was the Battle Frontier that replaced the Battle Park featured in Diamond and Pearl.

Pokemon BDSP Battle Tower Battle

The Battle Frontier had 5 different facilities, including the Battle Tower, which first appeared in the original Diamond and Pearl games. Since the Battle Tower is part of both the Battle Frontier and the Battle Park, the Battle Tower is the only facility that still remains in the Sinnoh remakes.

What is the Battle Frontier?

Post-Game Venue to Battle NPCs

In Pokemon Platinum, the Battle Frontier allowed the trainer to battle other NPC trainers in several battle formats to win Battle Points so that they can exchange items ranging from Pokemon Held Items to Evolution Items. You can still do this at the Battle Tower in the Fight Area.
