Ball Capsules allow you to decorate your Pokemon's Poke Balls with Stickers. Read on to learn about Ball Capsules and how to unlock them and how to unlock more Ball Capsule slots in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl (BDSP)!

How to Use Ball Capsules

3D Ball Capsule Preview

Ball Capsules are cases for Poke Balls that can be decorated with Stickers to give your Pokemon some flair when it is brought out in the field.

These effects can be seen when Pokemon with Ball Capsules are sent out in the field in battles or when participating in Super Contests.

You can decorate 20 Ball Capsules in total, and you can lay out 20 Stickers on each one.

How to Decorate Ball Capsules

Steps in Decorating Ball Capsules
1 Ball Capsule in Menu.png
Press X and select Ball Capsules.
2 Ball Capsule Menu.png
Select a Ball Capsule to decorate.
3 2D Front
Select Stickers at the top and place them on the Capsule.

You can choose whether you want to decorate in 2D or in 3D by pressing Y. Note that changing the layout while Stickers are applied will remove them.
4 Ball Capsule Choose Pokemon
Once finished, go back to the menu to select the Ball Capsule you want to use on a Pokemon!

You can only set one Pokemon per Ball Capsule, giving you a maximum amount of 20 Pokemon to have decorated Poke Balls.

How to Unlock Ball Capsules

Obtain from Bebe in Jubilife City

Bebe Ball Capsule

Ball Capsules are unlocked once you save Professor Rowan and Dawn and defeat Team Galactic in your second visit in Jubilife City after getting Oreburgh City's Gym Badge. After that encounter, Bebe will approach you and will give you access to Ball Capsules (along with Pokemon Box Link).

Unlocking More Ball Capsules Slots

Ball Capsule Boy

You can unlock more Ball Capsule slots from a young boy in Solaceon Town by showing him different Unowns. You first need to talk to him inside Solaceon Ruins, which will prompt him to leave and return to his house.

Take the middle path and jump down three ledges to reach his house.

Present Unown to boy living beside Solaceon Ruins

To get additional Ball Capsules from the boy, you need to catch different Unown forms inside Solaceon Ruins and show it to him.

In the case that you show him Unown that you've previously shown, he will mention that he have seen that Unown before and will you to show him a new one.

Occasionally, presenting him new Unown forms will not yield any Ball Capsules. You need to present another new form to unlock another Ball Capsule.
