After navigating to the System page, select "Date and Time".
After selecting the Date and Time, you'll be able to change the setting manually so you can time travel freely!
You're now able to start the game with the time and date you chose. Happy time travelling!
Time Period | Exact Time |
---|---|
Morning | 4:00am to 9:59am |
Day | 10:00am to 7:59pm |
Night | 8:00pm to 3:59am |
There are some daily and weekly events that you can access by changing the date and time on your Switch. However, most events will not progress until time is resumed in the game since these events usually require you to wait for a certain number of hours.
Events that Do Not Progress | Events that Do Progress |
---|---|
Berry Growth Honey Trees Massage Girl in Veilstone City Ribbons from Julia in Sunyshore Free Belts in Route 221 Daily Lottery Number Trophy Garden Pokemon Solaceon Town News Press |
Drifloon in Valley Windworks Sunyshore Market Stickers |
Fair warning, when you choose to time travel, all the events listed above that do not progress will also be paused for about 24 hours.
As an example, if you adjust your system clock, all planted berries will not grow, you won't be able to draw from the Lottery, and you will not have Honey Tree Pokemon spawn for the next 24 hours.
If you really want that Drifloon, it may be better to trade for one.

The Morning time period is set between 4:00am to 9:59am. It transitions to Day time exactly at 10:00am. The morning time period is not as bright as day time, but there is enough light to make the overworld is clearly visible.
Jogger trainer battles are only available during the morning. Joggers are found on Routes 209, 210, and 215, which are first available as you travel from Hearthome City to Veilstone City.
