Colosseum Features

Link Battles and Formats

First introduced in the 2nd Generation of Pokemon Games, the Colosseum allows trainers to engage in Singles or Double Battles with one other trainer, or have a Multi Battle with three other trainers!

Similar to the Union Room, players can battle using Local and Online Communications, and add a Link Code to narrow down potential challengers.

Multiplayer and Online Features

Single Battles

Trainers can engage in Single Battles with one other trainer, with each player sending out one Pokemon into battle. This is the standard battle format for majority of the game's story.

Double Battles

Trainers can engage in Double Battles with one other trainer, with each player sending out two Pokemon into battle. This battle format is rare in the story and usually reserved for special trainer encounters.

Multi Battles

Multi Battles are a special battle format unique to the Colosseum and operate similar to the story Multi Battles with Cheryl and Riley.

These battles are done with 2 pairs of trainers for a total of 4 trainers, with each player sending one Pokemon into battle at a time.

Custom Rulesets
