Mt. Coronet Tips & Strategies

Catch a Meditite

Meditite is a good Pokemon to catch to round off your team thanks to its dual Fighting/Psychic typing. It also evolves fairly quickly into Medicham at Lvl. 37.

Meditite vs Machop

While Machop seems like a better option to add to your team due to its higher attack, Meditite's Pure Power Ability doubles its Attack stat. Once it evolves into Medicham, it has an effecitve Base Attack stat of 200 compared to Machamp's 130 Attack stat.

Meditite also doesn't require trading to evolve, unlike Machop who evolves to Machoke but requires trading to evolve into Machamp.

Stock Up on Items Before Travelling to Spear Pillar

The journey to Spear Pillar will lead you to numerous battles against Team Galactic grunts. To add to that, you will encounter several wild Pokemon on your way. Be sure to buy enough recovery items such as Hyper Potions and buy Super Repels if you want to avoid wild encounters.
