Final Stats | 202 HP / 112 Atk (224 with Huge Power) / 100 Def / 106 SpD / 70 Spe |
It is important that Azumarill's HP always be an even number so that Sitrus Berry always triggers after a Belly Drum. Waterfall is for extra power that Aqua Jet does not always have, and because we may not always be able to set up Belly Drum.
Because Azumarill's Huge Power Ability doubles its Attack Stat, Azumarill always hits really hard, negating the need for coverage moves.

Final Stats | 207 HP / 112 Atk (224 with Huge Power) / 100 Def / 101 SpD / 70 Spe |
This set allows Azumarill to hit as hard as possible without the need for Belly Drum. Locking itself into Aqua Jet can be a win condition if your opponent does not have resists or immunities. The inclusion of Superpower is for attacking Steel-type Pokemon like Magnezone or Empoleon that would attempt to wall Azumarill.
Azumarill would want to come out mid-late game, when we have positioned it to be able to sweep. Azumarill's teammates must have ample speed and firepower to take out fast Electric-type Pokemon that can easily KO Azumarill. It's offensive coverage of Water and Fairy allow it to pose a threat to many different types.
Azumarill also does not like to be inflicted with status conditions, so a teammate that can take one for it would be very useful in protecting Azumarill.
Substitute | Substitute can potentially protect Azumarill from status moves. However be careful with using this, as Azumarill has lackluster Speed. This move can also be used to trigger Azumarill's Sitrus Berry. |

Brick Break | A little bit weaker than Superpower, but does not lower Azumarill's stats. Brick Break can break an opponent's Reflect or Light Screen. |

✔︎ Its Huge Power gives it a tremendously high Attack stat. ✔︎ Has a reliable priority move in Aqua Jet. ✔︎ Excellent typing that gives it plenty of resistances. |
✖︎ Is very susceptible to fast Pokemon with Electric-type moves. ✖︎ It's limited movepool make it very predictable. |
Azumarill's Huge Power Ability doubles its Attack Stat. If it is able to set up Belly Drum or is equipped with a Choice Band, its Attack Stat becomes even more monstrous and Azumarill becomes extremely difficult to stop. Having access to a priority move in Aqua Jet also ensures that it will attack first most of the time.
Most Pokemon will not want to switch into Azumarill's boosted Play Roughs. Because there are no Pokemon that are immune to Fairy-type attacks, Play Rough is a decent option even when anticipating a defensive switch. Unboosted Play Roughs can also knock out Pokemon that are weak to Fairy-type moves, such as Tyranitar or Hariyama.
Azumarill does not appreciate taking Thunderbolts, and it can get KO'd despite some EV investments in Special Defense. Defensive switches with Pokemon with Water immunity are also really good for keeping Azumarill players honest.
