If you are having trouble in the battle against Fantina, it is a great idea to catch a Houndoom at the Grand Underground. It can use Dark-type moves which are effective against Fantina's team. Additionally, it can be a great addition to your team if you do not have any Fire-type Pokemon.

Drifloon is a Pokemon that you may completely miss during your playthrough, as it only appears in the wild at Valley Windworks during Fridays. Not being able to encounter might slow your progress in completing the Sinnoh Pokedex.
It is recommended to battle the trainer behind the rightmost door at the second question room inside the Hearthome City Gym to register Drifloon's entry in the Pokedex.
