Arcana, such as Nightmare Orb, customizes the effect of your Horadric Spell. These adds additional effects, enhances previous effects, or alter's the effects of your Catalyst.
This spell's effect can be further improved by upgrading it from the Horadric Spellcraft menu.
Legendary Arcana Unique Effects

Celestial Surge stars Fear unaffected enemies. After the Fear ends, there is a 50% chance for another star to fall. |
 Astral Pillar |
Every 9th wave from your Astral Pillar Fears. Enemies close to it are Taunted and have their Fear removed. |
 Disintegrate |
Disintegrate Fears unaffected enemies and deals 100% [x] increased damage to them while they are Feared. |
 Propulsion |
Propulsion removes enemy Vulnerable effects to Fear them. While Feared, those enemies periodically form Lesser Mana Blasts. |
 Cosmic Anomaly |
Anomalies Fear and apply an 90% Slow to unaffected enemies they come into contact with. |
Legendary Arcana can improve Catalysts much more by providing unique effects depending on your equipped Catalyst.
How to Get Nightmare Orb
Obtained Randomly in Strongrooms After Rank 6 Horadric Knowledge
Legendary Arcana can be obtained randomly as rewards for clearing Horadric Strongrooms. However, you can only get them after gettin Rank 6 in Season 9's Horadric Knowledge reputation system.

How to Upgrade Nightmare Orb
Upgrade From the Horadric Spellcraft Menu
Nightmare Orb can be further improved by upgrading it up to Rank 5. You can upgrade Horadric Spells by selecting them on the Horadric Spellcraft Menu and pressing the Upgrade Power button.
