The Lord of Hatred expansion will be released on April 28, 2026. It will include new content, system updates, itemization updates, and more.

New Campaign
Continuing after the events of Vessel of Hatred, a new campaign will be included in the Lord of Hatred expansion as players face off against the Prime Evil, Mephisto.
Mephito's influence continues to spread as his followers propagate his will all over Sanctuary, and it's up to you to stop them.
The Paladin is Available in Season 11
For players that have pre-ordered the The Lord of Hatred expansion, the Paladin will be made playable as an early access bonus and can be played at the start of Season 11, Divine Intervention.
New Class to be Released on Launch
Another new class has been announced, which will be released when the new expansion launches. There is no new information yet regarding the second class, but we will update this section once it has been announced, so stay tuned!
Skovos Region
A new region, called Skovos, will be made accessible in the new expansion. The region used to be the original home of the angel Inarius and the demon Lilith, as well as being the place of origin for the Firstborn civilization.
The region will contain new points of interest, such as new towns and dungeons, temples to explore, and new monsters to fight.

The Horadic Cube Returns
The highly coveted Horadric Cube is set to make a comeback, and there are indications that it will be utilized for item transmutation within the game.
In Diablo II and its expansion, Lord of Destruction, players could combine items by placing them in the cube and using its transmute feature.
Skill Variants and Skill System Overhaul
The entire skill system is being overhauled, and this change will apply to all players, regardless of whether they own any expansions. According to the trailer, players will have the option to modify existing skills, thereby adding a new layer of customization.
Skill Variants, introduced in Diablo III, allow players to alter the properties and functionality of skills, completely changing how they are played.
Talismans to Equip Set Bonuses
A new Talisman System will be added, allowing the player to equip set bonuses. Currently, there are no set bonuses available in the current expansion, so it is highly likely that set items will be returning once the expansion releases.
War Plans to be Added
Endgame activities will be getting major changes as War Plans will be added in the Lord of Hatred Expansion. This will enable players to apply modifiers in endgame acitvites to improve rewards.
Loot Filter
The Loot Filter will be introduced to the game, a huge quality of life update that will allow players to quickly filter out the items that they need. This massively impacts the player's endgame progression, as it enables players to be a lot more efficient.
Like the skill system rework, it will also be available for all players regardless of their owned expansions.
