A new seasonal mechanic called the Divine Gifts are introduced in Season 11. These gifts can modify your gameplay and progression, offering rewards and boons while also dealing debuffs.
You can slot in a total of 8 Divine Gifts. Slotting a Divine Gift in the inner circle will activate its Purified Gift, offering boons, while slotting it in the outer circle will activate its Corrupted Gift, granting a debuff.
The Divine Gift triggers its reward bonus when slotted, regardless if they're in the inner or outer circle.

Bosses such as Belial, Duriel, Andariel, and Azmodan can now invade various activities in Sanctuary. Duriel can now spawn in Helltides, Andariel can ambush you in Kurast Undercity, while Belial now appears as a boss in The Pit. In the case of Azmodan, you can summon and fight him at will by using materials obtained from the Lesser Evils to summon him near Zarbinzet.

Updates to itemization also came in season 11. This includes updates on Tempering and Masterworking, as well as the introduction of Sanctification. These updates will make gearing much more streamlined and give a more powerful boost when reaching the item cap.

Renown is no longer transferred in the seasonal realm, instead, bonuses like Skill Points and Paragon points are now obtainable in the Season Ranking (formerly Season Journey).

Capstone Dungeons have returned and there will be a total of 5 capstone dungeons unlocking difficulties from Penitent onwards. These dungeons already have suggested levels, but it is important to note that their difficulties do not scale to your level.
With the reintroduction of Capstone Dungeons, you no longer need to reach the maximum level to step into Torment Difficulty.

Leaderboards for Diablo 4 also made a return, tied with the new Tower Activity. The tower is a new timed multi-dungeon activity similar to The Pit. Your leaderboard ranking will be determined by the Tower tier you completed and the time you completed the Tower.

Azmodan is the first new world boss added into the game. You can call Azmodan at will through the shrine south of Zarbinzet.
The shrine will have three altars related to Duriel, Andariel, and Belial. Each altar will invoke Azmodan with powers borrowed from the previously mentioned bosses.
