This is a guide to Horadric Spells, (also known as Spellcrafts) a new mechanic introduced in Season 9 - Sins of the Horadrim for Diablo 4 (D4). See all the Catalyst, Infusion, and Aracana Horadric Spells, how to unlock and use them, and what Horadric Spellcraft is.

|
Effect: Form an Arcane Conductor that emits a persistent beam between itself and you, dealing a steady blitz of 220,463 damage over 8 seconds. At Rank 10: Enemies within the beam are Slowed by 50% |
 Celestial Surge
|
Effect: Awaken an Oraclar Rune that Pulls In all surrounding enemies. A torrent of stars follow that randomly strike the area 20 times for 15,662 each. At Rank 10: Stars periodically fall around you and are guranteed to crash around a Neaaby enemy for the same damage. |
 Astral Pillar
|
Effect: Shape and Ethereal Column that Taunts for 3 seconds.Piercing waves flow from it and deal 13,704 damage, until you create another one or move too far away. At Rank 10: The Taunted enemies become Vulnerable and move faster. |
 Propulsion
|
Effect: Generate a Mana Blast that delivers 27,238 and Knocks Back all foes. Enemies that collide take an additional 9,079 damage. At Rank 10: The Knock Back is gargantuan and enemies slammed into terrain by it form a Lesser Mana Blast the first time it happens to them. |
 Cosmic Anomaly
|
Effect: Manifest up to 5 Anomalies that emit particles which deal 10,530 damage over 4 seconds. Activate again to command your Anomalies to all coverage and implode, dealing 42,135 damage per detonation. At Rank 10: While at 5 Anomlaies, you are Unstoppable and the next series of implosions deal double damage. |

|
Effect: Your Catalyst now deals Fire and or Burning damage. It destroys enemy structures and has 10% chance to ignite the ground beneath enemies, dealing 74,800 Burning damage over 5 seconds. While equipped, your Fire Damage Bonus is equal to that of your highest Damage Type Bonus. At Rank 5: Deactivates monster Chilling Wind effects for 5 seconds. |
 Nebulous Extract
|
Effect: Your Catalyst now deals Shadow and or Corrupting damage. Enemies hit by it deal 5.5% reduced damage for 7 seconds. While equipped, your Shadow Damage Bonus is equal to that of your highest Damage Type Bonus. At Rank 5: Deactivates monster Summoner effects for 5 seconds. |
 Glacial Nimbus
|
Effect: Your Catalyst now deals Cold and or Frostbiting damage. Enemies damaged by it are Chilled for 16%. This effect happens once per enemy every 1 second. While equipped, your Cold Damage Bonus is equal to that of your highest damage Type Bonus. At Rank 5: Deactivates monster Explosive effects for 5 seconds. |
 Corrosive Vapor
|
Effect: Your Catalyst now deals Poison and or Poisoning damage. Enemies damaged by it take 37,400 Poisoning damage over 4 seconds. This effect can only happen on each enemy every 3 seconds. While equipped, your Poison Damage Bonus is equal to that of your highest damage Type Bonus. At Rank 5: Deactivates monster Vampiric effects for 5 seconds. |
 Thunderous Particle
|
Effect: Your Catalyst now deals Lightning and or Sparking damage. Enemies damaged by it arc 42,386 Lightning damage to a surrounding enemy. This effect can only happen on each enemy every 3 seconds. While equipped, your Lightning Damage Bonus is equal to that of your highest Damage Type Bonus. At Rank 5: Deactivates monster Suppressor effects for 5 seconds. |

Effect: Your Catalyst gains a specialized Execute effect for a non-Boss enemies with 12% or less Life |
 Gleaming Conduit
|
Effect: Effect of your Catalyst is inceased by 18%. |
 Sharpening Gizmo
|
Effect: Lucky Hit: Damage from your Catalyst has a 50% chance to deal 200-340% Physical damage. Your Catalyst Lucky Hit Chance is doubled. |
 Sapping Crux
|
Effect: Your Catalyst applies Vunlerable for 4.0 seconds. |
 Fractured Core
|
Effect: Your Catalyst deactivates monster Damage Resistance Aura effects for 3.0 seconds, but you take 15% more stacking damage for the same duration. |
 Potent Alloy
|
Effect: Your Catalyst destroys enemy Barriers and Knocks them Down for 1.8 seconds afteer the removal |
 Tranquil Stone
|
Effect: Invoking your Catalyst grants Unstoppable for 3.4 seconds. |
 Shifting Powder
|
Effect: Your Catalyst increases your Movement Speed by 38% during its effect and for 5 more seconds after it ends. |
 Jagged Bramble
|
Effect: Damage from your Catalyst has up to a 50% chance to deal 150% of your Thorns damage. |
 Reactive Ooze
|
Effect: Invoking your Catalyst grants 8% Maximum Rescource Generation per second for the next 10 seconds. |
 Tendrilous Bundle
|
Effect: Damage from your Catalyst has up to a 40% chance to Immobilize for 5 seconds |
 Luminous Gem
|
Effect: Your Catalyst will Daze enemies it damages for 2.0 seconds. |
 Murky Essence
|
Effect: Invoking your Catalyst grants Stealth for 2.4 seconds. |
 Invigorating Helix
|
Effect: Once per enemy every 5 seconds, damage from your Catalyst will Fortify and Heal you for 6% of your Maximum Life. |
 Bottled Wind
|
Effect: Invoking your Catalyst grants a Barrier equal to 34% of your Maximum Life for 4 seconds. After it dissipates, its essence is bottle back up. |
 Volatile Crystal
|
Effect: Invoking your Catalyst grants 12% Resistance and Maximum Resistance to the Element of your Infusion for 10 seconds. |

Arcana, which can be used to further customize your Horadric Spells, can be obtained as rewards for exploring Nightmare Dungeons.

Equip A Catalyst to a Hotbar Slot
Catalysts are the core of your customized Horadric Spellcraft. To use one, equip a Catalyst to a Hotbar slot that corresponds to one of your active skills. When you use that skill, the Catalyst will activate as long as it’s off cooldown.
Apply an Infusion to Change the Damage Type
The primary way to customize your Horadric Spell is by applying an Infusion, which changes its damage type and adds unique effects. There are five Infusions, each corresponding to a different non-physical damage type.
Choose Three Arcana to Further Customize
You can enhance your Horadric Spell further by selecting up to three Arcana. Each Arcana adds a unique offensive, defensive, or supportive effect.
Use Horadric Jewels to Empower Your Horadric Spell
As another part of the Season 9 update, you can also socket Horadric Jewels on your Rings or Amulet to further empower your Horadric Spell with more unique effects.
How to Upgrade Horadric Spells
Upgrade Using Horadric Phials
You can upgrade your Horadric Spells by using Horadric Phials. Simply select them on the Horadric Spellcraft Menu and pressing the Upgrade Power button.

What is Horadric Spellcraft?
Crafting Your Own Spell
The Horadric Spell is a customizable skill that you can put together. You start by choosing a Catalyst, which determines the base effect of the spell and can be bound to any skill on your hotbar. You can then enhance the spell by adding an Arcana for additional effects and Infusions to change the damage type, making it better suited to your build.
