How to Complete Rites of Ascension World Event

Slay the Channeler to Disrupt the Rites

To begin the Rites of Ascension event, enter the area of the ritual and slay the channeler tethered to The Unascended.

Slay The Unascended

After slaying the channeler, The Unascended's ritual will be interrupted then will start to attack you. There will be a few seconds before other channelers will spawn and you can use this time to deal some damage.

Once the channelers have spawned, you will have to kill them in order to inflict any damage to The Unascended. The channelers can be identified by their tether to the The Unascended.

Mastery: Slay The Unascended before the rites are complete

The optional objective for this event will require you to defeat The Unascended and its minions before ritual is finished. You can complete this by making sure each of the tethered enemies along with The Unascended are slain before the timer expires.

The tethered enemies will often be placed at opposite ends of the area so utilize any gap closers or long range attacks to clear them before the timer ends.

This objective is completely optional but completing it improves the rewards you get from this World Event.

Defeat the Miniboss

After slaying The Unascended, it will turn into a Elite boss with a new health bar and name. Defeat this miniboss to complete this World event.

Rites of Ascension Completion Rewards

Murmuring Obols, Gold, and Other Items

In addition to the random drops from each enemy you kill, completing Rites of Ascension rewards you with a respectable amount of Gold and Experience based on your current level. You also get guaranteed Murmuring Obols from the Radiant Chest.

Furthermore, the Radiant Chest (or Greater Radiant Chest from completing the Mastery objective) can also drop Gems, Upgrade Materials, and equipment of random rarities.
