Diablo 4 - How to Use Bow

The Bow is one of the weapons used by a Rogue in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to learn how to use the bow in-game and which Rogue skills allow you to use a ranged playstyle.

How to Use the Bow

Create and Play a Rogue Character

The only class that can use a bow is the Rogue. In order to use this weapon, players will first need to create and play a Rogue character on their account. Do note that Rogues start with a bow already equipped. This saves you from the trouble of having to hunt one down.

Spend Skill Points on Marksman Skills

Diablo 4 - Marksman Skills

To start using your equipped bow, spend your skill points on skills tagged as Marksman in the Rogue skill tree (except Puncture). Equip them to your hotbar to begin using them in combat.

Do note that you will still be able to use your melee skills (Cutthroat) even while using a bow. The Rogue will automatically switch between their equipped weapons depending on whether the skill being used is melee or ranged.

Crossbows Use the Same Skills as the Bow

Alternatively, players can equip a Crossbow and replace the Bow as their primary ranged weapon. Since both weapon types share the same Marksman skills, it will be similar to using a Bow, although the Crossbow has a much slower fire rate.
