Golden Vow is an AoE support incantation that gives you and your allies a damage and defense buff for 80 seconds. Additionally, the damage buff of Golden Vow also buffs the damage dealt by your spells.

• In PvE, players will deal 15% more damage and take 10% less damage.
• In PvP, players will deal 7.5% more damage and take 5% less damage.

Golden Vow can be obtained by pillaging a corpse found inside the Corpse-Stench Shack in Mt. Gelmir just before the broken bridge.

How to Use Golden Vow

Quality Buff for PvP and PvE

Golden Vow is a great overall buff when engaging in both PvP and PvE. Being an AoE spell makes it great for co-op engagements against bosses and invaders, while its dual buff to both attack and defense also make it great for solo invaders.

Given how long Golden Vow lasts, it is best cast at the start of a fight. Later on, it can be replaced by quickcast buffs like Flame Grant Me Strength or Black Flame's Protection as needed.

Can be Used to Stack Buffs

Golden Vow is classified as an area buff, meaning it does not stack with other area buffs like the attack bonus of Rallying Standard. However, it does stack with other body buffs and weapon buffs after being cast. Some notable examples of skills and spells it stacks with are as follows:

• Golden Vow stacks with Flame Grant Me Strength, increasing the damage buff significantly.
• Golden Vow stacks with Black Flame's Protection, increasing the physical damage negation significantly.
• Golden Vow stacks with Protection of the Erdtree, increasing the non-physical damage negation significantly.
• Golden Vow stacks with the Ash of War: Royal Knight's Resolve, increasing the first hit damage of the weapon significantly.

Duration Can be Extended by Old Lord's Talisman

To extend the duration of Golden Vow, swap in the Old Lord's Talisman before casting. This will extend the duration of Golden Vow to 104 seconds, making it a perfect candidate for stacking buffs before starting a fight.
