Beast Claw Lore

Lore Description
"Incantation taught by Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman.

Creates beast claws that rend the land with shockwaves. Charging enhances potency.

This incantation represents the fury of Gurranq, his bestial nature returned, as much as it does his restless agitation."

Beast Claw Effects

Creates five slicing shockwaves that travel to the ground and go through enemies within its reach. Charging this spell increases both its area of effect and damage output.

How to Get Beast Claw

Give Deathroots to Gurranq

After giving several Deathroots to Gurranq at the Bestial Sanctum in Caelid, he will give items and incantations in return. Gurranq will give the Beast Claw incantation after giving him the fifth Deathroot.

Giving Deathroots to Gurranq is essential in progressing his questline.

Best Used Against Mobs of Enemies

Elden Ring - Beast Claw

Beast Claw is a powerful spell that consumes little FP and does damage in a cone in front of you. Charging the spell makes Beast Claw's waves travel much farther and spreads them much wider. This is a good spell for crowd control as it pierces through enemies and doesn't sacrifice too much FP.

Use Up Close Against Large Bosses

Beast Claw can also be used to deal great amounts of damage at short range. Using this spell right next to a boss may hit them with all five waves, dealing high damage.

Do Not Use in Water or Rocky Terrain

Beast Claw's strikes only travel on smooth land. Using this spell in shallow water or areas with lots of rocks will cancel out the spell's waves.
