Immutable Shield Lore

Lore Description
"One of the incantations of the Golden Order fundamentalists.

Enchants shield held in the left hand with the light of regression, increasing all forms of non-physical damage negation and ailment resistance.

Two concepts form the basis for Golden Order fundamentalism. One is the law of regression, to which this incantation relates."

Immutable Shield Effects

The player casts a spell on their shield, which increases its negation of non-physical damage. This includes Fire, Lightning, Holy, and Magic damage. The shield's ability to resist status ailments is also increased. This includes Poison, Scarlet Rot, Frost, Bleed, Sleep, and Death.

Note that the shield has to be equipped on the left hand, while your sacred seal has to be equipped on the right hand for this spell to work.

How to Get Immutable Shield

Progress Scribe Corhyn's Questline

The Immutable Sheild will be available after revealing the relationship between Marika and Radagon to Goldmask at the Leyndell, Royal Capital near the Colosseum area. To arrive at this point you must first progress Corhyn's questline.

This particular point in his questline requires you to use the Law of Regression in one of the statues of Radagon in Leyndell. However, this requires at least 37 Intelligence to be used.

How to Use Immutable Shield

Defend Against Non-Physical Enemies

Elden Ring - Defend Against Non-Physical Enemies
This spell can be used against so many types of enemies that deal non-physical damage. It's good to use against the spells of sorcerers in Raya Lucaria and Sellia, Town of Sorcery, against the Bleed-inducing attacks of Imps in Catacombs, as well as Mohg. Lord of Blood, and against the fire-breath of dragons, to name a few.

Extra Defense in PvP

This spell is also a good buff to use in PvP against sorcery and incantation builds, as you will take considerably less damage by blocking their spells.
