"A black flame incantation of the Godskin Apostles.

Engulfs armament held in the right hand with black flame. This incantation can be cast without delay after performing another action.

Black flame is weighty. After dealing damage it continues to sap foes' HP for a very short time."

Black Flame Blade Effects

Black Flame Blade is a Godskin Apostle Incantation that grants the user the ability to temporarily imbue their right-hand weapon in black flame for 7 seconds that increases its damage. While active, enemies will take fire damage initially and over time.

Black Flame Blade can be bought from Corhyn for 7500 runes after giving him the Godskin Prayerbook that can be found in Stormveil Castle.

To get the Godskin Prayerbook, travel to the Liftside Chamber site of grace and head outside to where the enemies are. If you stick to the right, you'll eventually come across a flight of stairs leading down. At the end will be a fog gate with rats guarding it, and you will need a stonesword key to unlock it and obtain the prayerbook in one of the chests inside.

Buff Damage of your Attacks

How to Use Black Blade
This spell is best used before initiating a fight to buff and increase the damage you can deal to your enemies. it is effective against bosses and enemies with large health pools since the burning effect of the black flame deals 2% or more damage to their max HP.

It can also be used during fights for continued increased fire damage since the spell has a relatively fast casting time. Make sure to perform this after successfully dodging or baiting out an enemy's attack since you can still be hit during cast.

Pair with Godslayer Seal

Godskin Apostle Incantations are best paired with the Godslayer Seal as it will boost the effectiveness of these Incantations.
