Lore Description
"Incantation that channels the power of the ancient dragon Fortissax, now corrupted by Death.

Strikes surroundings with a storm of Death lightning. Inflicts Death blight upon foes. Charging extends duration of the storm.

It said that this golden lightning was wielded by Godwyn, who befriended Fortissax."

Death Lightning is a Dragon Cult Incantation that unleashes a storm of death lightning around its user when cast, it has a short casting time, deals great damage to surrounding enemies and inflicts death on your opponents.

How to Get Death Lightning

Defeat Lichdragon Fortissax

To be able to unlock this optional boss you must first progress Fia's questline. To achieve this you must give her the Cursemark of Death from Ranni the Witch's questline.

After giving Fia the Cursemark of Death at the boss area of the Deeproots Depths, she will enter into slumber. Rest at the nearest site of grace and then touch her sleeping body to enter into a boss battle with the Lichdragon Fortissax.

You can gain the Remembrance of the Lichdragon after defeating Fortissax. You can then convert it for the Death Lightning or the Fortissax's Lightning Spear.

This Incantation is ideally used against multiple enemies, However, it is unpredictable and has a 50-50 chance of hitting up to three targets at once or just completely missing. It is extremely effective against larger enemies as it is guaranteed you'll be able to hit them due to their size.

Due to its unpredictable nature, it can be used to zone out aggressive players in PvP allowing you to heal or reset. You can increase the chances of hitting with this Incantation by using it to ambush your targets in tight spaces or hallways.

Holding down the skill button will extend the duration of the death lightning storm and widens the reach significantly. Keep in mind that the casting time is longer and will leave you open to enemy attacks, it is recommended to perform this from a safe distance or set up a distraction beforehand.

A few hits successful hits with Death Lightning can break your enemy's guard while weaker targets will immediately get staggered, making this a decent counter to getting mobbed. Additionally, the Godfrey Icon can improve the charged variation of this Incantation.

Damage Can be Buffed with Additional Equipment

Dragon Cult Incantations are best paired with the Gravel Stone Seal as it will boost the effectiveness of these incantations by 15%. Holding a duplicate Seal in your other hand will stack the bonus effect, further increasing its effectiveness.

Since this is a Lightning-based Incantation, it will greatly benefit from the effects of the Lightning Scorpion Charm but it is to note that while this talisman is equipped, your damage negation is lowered.
