Surge, O Flame! Lore

Lore Description
"Superior incantation of the Fire Monks.
Creates a stream of fire to burn the area before the caster. This incantation can be cast while in motion. Hold to maintain the effect.
The Giants' Flame is the flame of ruin, capable of burning the Erdtree. And so, following the War against the Giants, its ruinous blaze was sealed, and guardians were appointed to watch over it."

Surge, O Flame! Effects

Surge, O Flame! is an incantation which creates a continuous stream of fire in front of the caster. While casting, players are still able to walk and chase down slow-moving enemies.

How to Use Surge, O Flame!

Used to Deal Continuous Fire Damage

Surge, O Flame!

Surge, O Flame! functions much like a flamethrower. It can be used to deal continuous fire damage by holding down L1 or R1. It also has the added bonus of making small to medium-sized enemies flinch with every hit.

However, like many of the mid-game fire spells, Surge, O Flame! also suffers by being a single target spell. Casting can easily be disrupted if you're up against multiple opponents and the limited range (even while being able to walk) limits its applications.

Damage is Boosted by the Giant's Seal

Players can boost the damage of theSurge, O Flame! by equipping the Giant's Seal. Since the best Faith-scaling seal is the Erdtree Seal, wield the Giant's Seal in your off-hand while casting with your primary seal to boost the damage of Surge, O Flame!

Since the seal's buff effect is passive, it is not necessary to upgrade your Giant's Seal unless you will be using it as your primary casting seal.
