Lore Description
"Superior incantation of Dragon Communion. Channels the power of Borealis, the Freezing Frog.

Transforms caster into a dragon to spew icy breath from above. Charging extends duration. This incantation can be cast while jumping.

The ice dragons were once lords of the mountaintops long ago, until they were defeated by the Fire Giants and chased from the peak."

Borealis's Mist is a Dragon Communion Incantation that transforms the user into a dragon that spews ice breath in a wide area in front of the user. It can be aimed during cast and deals Frost damage to enemies that are hit by the mist.

Borealis the Freezing Fog is a dragon located near the small island of the Mountaintops of the Giants' Freezing Lake.

Defeat Borealis to unlock its power at the Cathedral of the Dragon Communion in Caelid. Go to the church and perform a communion using two Dragon Hearts to get the Borealis's Mist incantation.

Borealis's Mist is an Incantation that is extremely effective at dealing Frost damage and applying the Frostbite Status effect. It can be used against large groups of enemies and bosses with a low resistance to Frost damage. Although the description says otherwise, the Roar Medallion talisman does not affect Dragon Communion Incantations.

The Frostbite status effect is very strong against most enemies as it increases the damage taken by those afflicted by it from all sources. Performing this spell, however, will expose you to attacks and does not increase your Poise. Aggressive and fast-hitting enemies can easily interrupt you during casting.

Holding down the skill button will extend the duration of ice breath and extends the reach of the mist significantly. Keep in mind that the casting time will be longer, it is recommended to perform this from a safe distance or set up a distraction beforehand.

Successful hits with Borealis's Mist can quickly apply Frostbite and stagger enemies, making this a decent counter to getting mobbed. Additionally, the Godfrey Icon can improve the charged variation of this Incantation.

Pair with Dragon Communion Seal
