Lore Description
"A superior incantation of Edtree Worship.

Increases damage negation for all affinities except physical, for both the caster and nearby allies. Hold to continue praying and delay activation.

In the beginning, everything was in opposition to the Erdtree. But through countless victories in war, it became the embodiment of Order."

Protection of the Erdtree Effects

Protection of the Erdtree is an AoE support incantation that grants 30% Non-Physical Damage Reduction for yourself and your allies. The spell's effect lasts for a total of 70 seconds.

The types of attacks that are classified as Non-Physical Damage in Elden Ring are Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy. Damage from Bleed, Frostbite, Poison, and Scarlet Rot are not reduced by this buff.

How to Get Protection of the Erdtree

Protection of the Erdtree can be obtained by killing a scarab southeast of the Road of Iniquity Side Path Site of Grace. The scarab is on top of a platform, near the broken bridge.

Whether it be PvP or PvE, the long casting animation of Protection of the Erdtree solidly classifies it as a pre-fight buff. When going up against area bosses (or even against invaders in general), the additional protection offered against Magic, Fire, Lightning, and Holy will always be welcome.

Duration Can be Extended by Old Lord's Talisman

To extend the duration of Protection of the Erdtree, swap in the Old Lord's Talisman before casting it. This will extend the duration of Protection of the Erdtree to 90 seconds for you and your allies.
