Placidusax's Ruin Lore

Lore Description
"Power gleaned from the remembrance of Dragonlord Placidusax.

Transforms caster into the Dragonlord to spew golden breath from above. This incantation can be cast while jumping.

These are the dying wails of the Dragonlord who once dwelled eternally beyond time."

Placidusax's Ruin Effects

Placidusax's Ruin transforms the user into a Dragonlord that fires a beam-like golden breath that deals great Fire damage. The incantation can be cast while in mid-air and its wide sweeping long-range attack can be aimed manually around the caster.

How to Get Placidusax's Ruin

Defeat Dragonlord Placidusax

Dragonlord Placidusax is one of the main bosses in Crumbling Farum Azula. Defeat him to obtain Remembrance of the Dragonlord and convert it for the Placidusax Ruin through Finger Reader Enia in the Roundtable Hold.

How to Use Placidusax
It is particularly effective at clearing mobs and the golden breath can easily stagger and break your enemy's guard but casting it in a slightly elevated position may cause you to miss small targets entirely. The initial transformation deals Lightning damage along with an explosion that is capable of sending nearby enemies flying.

It can be used against aggressive enemies that harass you at close range and the follow-up beam can finish off enemies that are getting up after getting hit. However, it does not give you hyper armor, and enemies that can get close can easily interrupt you out of it.

Damage Can be Buffed with Additional Equipment

Dragon Cult Incantations are best paired with the Gravel Stone Seal as it will boost the effectiveness of these incantations by 15%. Holding a duplicate Seal in your other hand will stack the bonus effect further increasing its effectiveness.

Since this Incantation can both deal Fire and Lightning damage, it will greatly benefit from the effects of either Lightning Scorpion Charm or Fire Scorpion Charm but it is to note that while these talismans are equipped they will lower your damage negation.
