How to Get Level 35 Gear in the Beta

Although the max player level is 25, it's possible to get gear with level as high as 35 in the Diablo 4 (D4) beta. Learn where to farm Level 35 gear, how to imprint its stats onto Legendary gear to make it usable, and the best level 35 Gear to make.

How to Farm Level 35 and Level 25+ Gear

1. Find “Wrathful” Osgar Reede

A specific Elite enemy, “Wrathful” Osgar Reede, can drop Gear at level 25 and above, including a level 35 Rare Mace, Mace of Blazing Furor, which he will always drop.

You'll find Osgar Reede west of Nostrava, on the far west side of Fractured Peaks, within the Pallid Glade region.

2. Defeat “Wrathful” Osgar Reede

Osgar is Level 35 himself, so it's not an easy of a fight as you would expect from an Elite. However, he's not going to one-shot you if you're level 25 yourself, so just play carefully and you'll take him down.

If you're not of a high enough level to handle Osgar, you can always let other players do most of the work since he's a rather popular target, then grab the spoils at the end. All drops are personal, so you don't have to feel too bad!

3. Collect the Spoils

Osgar will drop the Level 35 Mace of Blazing Furor and a few other items. Occasionally, he'll drop another piece of Level 25+ Gear, so if you aren't a Barbarian, you'll still be able to get high-level Gear for your class.

4. Wait for Osgar to Respawn

Osgar will reappear after a few minutes, so be patient. Farm him for as long as you need to get your full set of Level 25+ Gear.

The only problem is, you can't use it as-is, because you won't meet the level requirement. That's where imprinting comes in.

How to Lower the Level Restriction

Imprint an Aspect on the Gear

As shown above, not only does imprinting an Aspect allow you to lower the level requirement of your Level 25+ Gear, allowing you to use it, it also adds a Legendary Affix of your choice (at the cost of a piece of Legendary Gear you already own).

1. Visit the Occultist

You can imprint stats on Gear at the Occultist in Kyovashad.

2. Extract the Aspect of Your Choice

At the Occultist, choose Extract Aspect and select a piece of Legendary Gear to destroy and turn into an Aspect. This Aspect can be added to your Level 25+ Gear as a new Legendary Affix.

3. Imprint the Aspect on Your Level 25+ Gear

Choose Imprint Aspect and place the Level 25+ Gear you want to use in the top slot, and the newly created Aspect in the slot below.

This will yield a new piece of Legendary Gear from your existing Level 25+ Gear, with the same stats but a lower level requirement, as well as the Legendary Affix from the Aspect you used.
