How to Progress Through Season 5

Plan Your Build and Prepare Early

Diablo 4 - Cycle Weapons in the Skill Bar
Make sure to prepare for the endgame by farming Upgrade Materials and acquiring all the Codex Aspects you need for your build to ensure a smooth leveling experience as soon as you unlock WT3 and WT4.

Additionally, since The Pit from Season 4 will carry over to the new season, immediately farm for Tempering Manuals as soon as they are available to access Tempering and Masterworking, which help your character progression in Season 5.

Participate in Helltides

Living Steel - Event Drop
Just like in Season 4, Helltide will immediately be available in World Tiers 1 and 2. For Season 5, your main activity for leveling should be participating in the Helltide Events to acquire better gear and farm Legendary Aspects as you level up.

Complete Strongholds

D4 - Clearing Strongholds in WT3
Make sure to finish up your Strongholds unlocks before going to World Tier 3. Since some dungeons and legion events are locked behind strongholds, it is highly recommended to finish them early to make your leveling grind much faster.

Progress Your Season Journey

Season Journey Rewards
Make sure that you're also progressing your Season Journey as you level up your character, since some of the challenges must be completed while you're still in World Tier 3.

It is recommended to complete them as soon as possible before advancing to World Tier 4 to avoid backtracking later. Additionally, the reward caches you receive are extremely valuable, as the boss materials they contain are essential for farming the uniques you will need for endgame.

How to Complete Season 5 Journey and Rewards

Level Up Your Glyphs

Glyphs Leveling
Upon reaching World Tier 4, immediately begin running Nightmare Dungeons to level up the Glyphs you'll be using on your Paragon Board. Having multiple high-level Glyphs can significantly boost your clear speed, especially when you start running The Pit.

Gather Materials From The Pit

Artificer
Once you've raised the level of the Glyphs on your Paragon Board, you can begin farming the materials needed to start Masterworking your equipment in The Pit. This will further strengthen your character, enabling you to push for higher tiers in Infernal Hordes and Nightmare Dungeons.

Push for Higher Difficulty Content

High Tier Infernal Horde
Now that you’ve reached the endgame, you can start pushing for higher-tier in The Pit or the Infernal Horde and upgrade your Infernal Compasses with Abyssal Scrolls. Be aware that each tier of this dungeon significantly increases the strength of the enemies, making it extremely difficult to finish if you are underprepared. However, the rewards at higher tiers are substantially better.

In addition, you can also challenge Uber Lilith in the Echo of Hatred, battle the Tormented versions of the Uber Bosses, or test your strength in the Gauntlet.
