Complete the Room Objective

Diablo 4 - Complete the Room Objectives

Each Hellbreach Dungeon room has an objective you must complete before continuing to the next one. These objectives span from defeating enemies near Soulspire, destroying Aetheric Masses, or vanquishing powerful Aether Fiends.

Choose a Challenge at the End of Each Room

Diablo 4 - Choose a Challenge

At the end of each room, you must choose between challenges that will make all future encounters in that dungeon more difficult but also more rewarding.

Some challenges can be more rewarding but significantly increases the difficulty of the next encounters or the boss.

Spend Aether to Open Chests

Diablo 4 - Spend Aether to Open Chests

Burning Aethers obtained during the Hellbreach Dungeon are used to open the Spoils of Hell and Spoils of Gold after completing the boss encounter. It is always better to open the highest tier of chest you can.

Hellbreach Dungeons introduces the Infernal Hordes mechanic, a wave-based dungeon where each wave contains an important choice to increase the difficulty and rewards of each encounter. The endgame version of Hellbreach Dungeons can be found in World Tier 3.

Hellbreach Dungeons can be found in World Tiers 1 and 2, while the endgame version, the Infernal Horde, can be found in World Tier 3.
