Diablo 4 - No Option to Turn Off Shared World

As of the Open Beta, there is no option for players to turn off the shared world feature. This allows players to take on World Bosses or World Events without having to find other players.

Take On Enemies With a Party

Diablo 4 - Take On Enemies With a Party

While it is ultimately up to the player if they wish to take on enemies alone or in a party, the shared world allows you to group up with random players and receive bonus XP rewards. The shared world feature also allows players to interact and encounter other users also playing the game.

Dungeons Only Available to Private Groups

Diablo 4 - Field of Hatred

Although the game allows players to fight enemies in a group, Dungeons are a different story as you will need to be in a party to play together. This can be done by queueing up with friends or by looking for other players in the game then partying up before entering a Dungeon.
