Propulsion is a Catalyst-type Horadric Spell in Diablo 4 (D4), introduced in Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim. Learn about the Propulsion's effects, and how to obtain and upgrade it here.

At Rank 10: The Knock Back is gargantuan and enemies slammed into terrain by it form a Lesser Mana Blast the first time it happens to them. |

Catalysts, such as Propulsion, are the foundation of each Horadric Spell which gives it the primary function. You can customize its effect using Infusions and Arcana.
This spell's effect can be further improved by upgrading it from the Horadric Spellcraft menu.

Propulsion blinks you to the center of its Mana Blast and grants Unhindered. When used with a Melee Skill, it blinks you to the Knocked Back enemies. |
 Nightmare Orb |
Propulsion removes enemy Vulnerable effects to Fear them. While Feared, those enemies periodically form Lesser Mana Blasts. |
 Frigid Heart |
Propulsion will Freeze any enemies that collide with other enemies twice. |
 Pressurized Steam |
Enemies slammed into terrain by Propulsion are Stunned and have a chance to miss their next 2 attacks. |
 Bloody Charm |
The Mana Blast from Propulsion Executes non-Boss enemies. Successful Executions grant 70% [+] Movement Speed for 5 seconds. |
Aside from Infusions and Arcana spells, you can farther customize Propulsion by using Legendary Arcana to give it more effects. You can obtain these Legendary Arcana as random rewards from Horadric Strongrooms after reaching Tier 6 in the Horadric Knowledge reputation system.
How to Get Propulsion
Complete the “To Walk Where the Spirits Tread” Seasonal Quest
Obtain the Propulsion spell by completing Season 9's To Walk Where the Spirits Tread Seasonal Quest. This series of quests will mostly revolve around clearing Horadric Strongrooms and talking to Bryona in Cerrigar during the early game until you unlock all the Catalyst and Infusion Spellcraft.

How to Upgrade Propulsion
Upgrade From the Horadric Spellcraft Menu
Propulsion can be further improved by upgrading it up to Rank 20. You can upgrade Horadric Spells by selecting them on the Horadric Spellcraft Menu and pressing the Upgrade Power button.
