Astaroth is the Final Boss of Escalating Nightmare dungeons in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to learn about how to summon Astaroth, Astaroth's location, unique drops, rewards, and how to beat Astaroth.
Astaroth Location and How to Summon
Final Escalating Nightmare
To fight Astaroth, you'll need to reach the final dungeon of an Escalating Nightmare. You can obtain an Escalating Key from Horadric Strongrooms. These keys will allow you to open an Escalating Nightmare where you'll have a chance to face Astaroth.

Ancestral Items
Defeating Astaroth rewards a guaranteed Ancestral item. This makes Escalating Nightmares a prime activity for farming Ancestral Items and progression.

Nightmare Sigils and Escalating Sigils
Astaroth drops a ton of dungeon keys, these keys include Nightmare SIgils, Escalating Sigils, as well as Infernal Horde Compasses. This makes Escalating Nightmares the prime activity for farming most of the contents for Season 9.

Avoid the Flame Breath
The Amalgam of Rage (Astaroth's mount) will spit out flames from three of its heads. Immediately run or dash diagonally to avoid being trapped between each flame.
Stay Away from the Blood Pool
After beating the first phase, the Amalgam of Rage will create a pool of blood that deals damage-over-time and extends outwards the entire fight. You'll have to beat Astaroth while avoiding the pool of blood to finish the fight.
Invite Other Players
It's recommended to invite other players to your party to have an easier time clearing the Escalating Nightmare. This allows you to progress each dungeon faster and makes the boss fight against Astaroth easier.
