Class: General
Type: Wrathful Effect: Critical Strikes and all subsequent damage within 2.0-4.0 seconds is absorbed by your target. Then, the absorbed damage erupts onto surrounding enemies. Stored damage is increased by 10% per second. |
The Barber Effect Explained
Damage Stacking on Enemies
The Barber is shaping out to be one of the best Malignant Hearts at the moment due to the fact that, aside from the bonus damage from Critical Strike Damage stacks, The Barber damage itself can stack on top of one another.
For Example, if you were to deal a thousand damage each to Enemy A and Enemy B, and Enemy A procs The Barber first, Enemy B will be able to absorb that proc and take about 2 thousand damage instead. This concept will instantly boost your dungeon clearing times making this Malignant Heart a very sought out drop right now!
Barber Procs are Possibly Shadow Damage
Initial testing suggests that the game considers The Barber as Shadow Damage and might be able to scale more with Affixes that boost Shadow Damage. As shown in the clip above, Tal'Rasha's heart effect gained a fourth stack from the Barber proc, which suggests a fourth element, most likely Shadow based on its appearance, is present.
Further testing is required for confirmation so make sure to check back later for updates!
How to Get The Barber
Dropped By Defeating Wrathful Malignant Enemies in World Tier III Difficulty
Players can find The Barber from Wrathful Malignant Enemies as drops when playing at World Tier III difficulty or higher. These Malignant Hearts will have a specific color or type and they can only be socketed on Jewels with the same color.
Specific Type of Malignant Heart
You can target farm a specific type of Malignant Heart by using an Invoker on a Malignant Outgrowth at the end of the Malignant Tunnel.
Craft at Cormond's Wagon
Players can use various Ichors for a chance at crafting The Barber at Cormond's Wagon via the Uncertain Hearts Cache. These caches have a chance at producing all 4 types of Malignant Hearts, including the Wrathful type.
