Whirlwind Endgame Build |
|
| Focus: Speed Clearing, Full Screen AoE | |
|
|
|
This build uses the Deafening Chorus Chaos Perk to permanently activate all the Shout buffs in exchange for reduced Maximum Fury. It uses this to it's advantage to permanently generate enough Fury while channeling Whirlwind for permanent up time, a massive damage boost, and decreased damage received.

When using any Weapon: 10% increased damage to Vulnerable enemies. |
The Two-Handed Axe Expertise is the most consistent, and therefore the best, offensive expertise to get as it gives a bonus 10% damage increase to Vulnerable enemies.

| Chaos Perks Setup | |||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
|
A Beast Cornered For every 10% Life you are missing, you gain 10-20% increased damage and 5% damage reduction. Spending Resources also drains a percentage of your Life equal to 30% the Resources spent, refunding those Resources. This cannot reduce you to below 10% Life. |
|||||
|
Marred Guard You can no longer be healed above 50% Life. You gain 5-10% Maximum Resistance to All Elements, +20-40% Armor, and 50-100% increased Barrier and Fortify Generation. |
Deafening Chorus Your equipped Shouts are now always active with 20-40% increased effect, but your Maximum Current Fury is reduced by 20% per Shout equipped. |
Power Siphon Your Core Skills deal 50-100% increased damage, but also reduce your Maximum Current Resource by 20 for 6 seconds. This reduction stacks but does not refresh. |
|||
The whole Dust Devil Whirlwind build is enabled by the Deafening Chorus Chaos Perk which activates all the equipped Shouts every second, triggering all of it's on-cast, primary, and secondary effects.
Power Siphon greatly boosts the damage of Whirlwind with no virtually downsides as the Fury reduction from Power Siphon and Deafening Chorus do not stack. Only the effect that reduces more of our Maximum Fury can affect you.
The Marred Guard and A Beast Cornered is a great combo that works with any build for a massive boost in damage along with a more damage reduction.
Do note that all non-Unique Chaos Perks are obtained by accumulating moreViz Jaq'taar Veneration reputation, and all Unique Chaos Perks are obtained from the new Infernal Hordes boss, Barduc.

Rubies are the best Gems to slot into the armor sockets for all the bonus damage, Armor, and to meet the steep requirements for some of the latter Rare nodes in the Paragon Board.
Emeralds are best slotted into you weapons for the bonus Critical Strike Damage. However, Sapphires work well too to balance out your Critical Strike and Vulnerable damage stats.
Diamonds, Skulls, or any other Gems will work on the jewelry sockets to cap out the resistances as much as possible.

Bac + Tec allows us to constantly generate Earthquakes that deal damage, grant a damage buff, and to generate more Dust Devils. Meanwhile, Poc + Vex grants us consistent damage buffs by temporarily increasing the ranks of all skills.

| Mercenary | Reinforcement |

Subo is used as the main mercenary primarily for marking enemies on the map as a huge quality-of-life while speed farming. The Movement Speed and Critical Strike Damage buff is a nice bonus as well.
Use Raheir as your reinforcement for survivability. It's best to use his Bastion skill whenever you become crowd-controlled so you can avoid damage and become unstoppable.

The Paragon Boards and Glyphs focus on maximizing damage multipliers and enabling Earthquakes to also generate Dust Devils. This Paragon setup becomes viable around Paragon level 250, with additional nodes optionally allocated to Life or Resistance for extra survivability.
