New Seasonal Mechanic
A new seasonal mechanic called the Horadric Spells will be introduced for Season 9. These are new skills that have customizable effects depending on the Infusion, Catalyst, and Arcana you choose. These can also be further modified by socketing Horadric Jewels which are also exclusive for the season.
Upgrading your Horadric Spells will Horadric Phials which you can earn by killing enemies in Nightmare Dungeons.

Horadric Strongrooms
The Horadric Strongrooms are micro dungeons found within Nightmare Dungeons. Inside, you can collect Horadric Attunement to improve the chest you receive at the end of the run.
Escalating Nightmare
Escalating Nightmares is a new endgame feature that requires you to progress through a series of Nightmare Dungeons with increasing difficulty.
New Dungeon Affixes
A new set of Dungeon Affixes is coming to Nightmare Dungeons. With the addition of Strongrooms and Escalating Nightmares, Nightmare Dungeons are now a higher priority for endgame content, as they offer even greater rewards.
New Uniques
In Season 9, 6 new Unique items will be added to the game (one for each class). These additions brings fresh build options and new synergies that can change the playstyle of your class.
