Tempting Fate is a Vicious type of Malignant Heart in Diablo 4 (D4). Read on to learn its effects, class requirement, heart type, how to get it, where to get it, and so much more!

Type: Vicious Effect: You gain 40-60% Critical Strike Damage but your Non-Critical Strikes deal 20-15% less damage. |
Players can find Tempting Fate from Vicious Malignant Enemies as drops when playing at World Tier III difficulty or higher. These Malignant Hearts will have a specific color or type and they can only be socketed on Jewels with the same color.
You can target farm a specific type of Malignant Heart by using an Invoker on a Malignant Outgrowth at the end of the Malignant Tunnel.
EnlargePlayers can use various Ichors for a chance at crafting Tempting Fate at Cormond's Wagon. Crafting hearts this way does not guarantee that you will receive the Tempting Fate, but you can guarantee that the crafted heart is of the Vicious typing.
